Look How Much Amanda Has Changed!

Continuing with this week’s theme of Sappy Sentimental Mom, I wanted to share some pictures of how much Amanda has changed!

1_Manda_age2

Here she is at age 2 on Christmas morning. So adorable in her Santa pajamas!

2_Manda_age3

Here she is at about age 3, sitting the rocking chair with baby Emily. I used to dress them in matching dresses all the time. That didn’t last long, though. Amanda was quick to assert her “fashion independence” at an early age!

3_Manda_age4

Here she is at her 4-year-old birthday party. Who doesn’t love chocolate cake! She always had lots of friends come to her birthday parties.

Here is Amanda on first day of second grade, age 7.  Awwwwww!  She has always loved school.

5_Manda_rose

My how the years have passed. Here she is at age 15. She is quite a photographer now. She sets up the shots, and Emily takes them for her.

6_Manda_dunes

Here she on summer vacation at the beach.  That’s temporary “hair chalk” in her hair. She is very stylish!

7_Manda-field

So beautiful in this shot!  I think a modeling agency ought to call both my girls, don’t you?

8_Manda_tree

So beautiful last May in her prom dress! She says she’d rather be behind the camara than in front of it.  Crazy, huh?  Didn’t the little girl years fly by fast?  I feel so old now.  Thanks for letting me be Stupid Sentimental this week.

About thedaughterdiaries

Here’s a secret for all you moms of cute toddlers out there.... when you get to the teen years, things are not much better, I'm sorry to say. They still act exactly like toddlers...wild mood swings, strange sleep patterns, irrational behavior, crying fits and screaming. Wait..that last one is mostly me. Only now I can't bribe them with candy like I used to.

  1. Mom says:

You can be really proud of the beautiful person she is not only on the outside but inside too. Paul and you have been blessed to be able to raise two lovely girls who have such beautiful, good characters. They love the Lord. They are a pleasure to be around. There is no greater spiritual blessing than to know that God granted you this gift. Good job Cindy.
By the way, that chocolate cake looked yummy! I noticed the chocolate kisses around the sides of it. Did you make it? Now your Dad wants a chocolate cake. Love Mom
